Mark Dupree, Manager of GIS Services, will be presenting “Stepping Up to GIS” (How to Partner Together to Create your Own GIS) with Rocky Horvath, Fox Lake Sewer and Water Supervisor, at the upcoming Stewart Spreading Field Day on September 13, 2017. They will be reviewing the creation of Fox Lake’s Geographic Information System (GIS). TAI and the Village of Fox Lake worked together as a team to collect GPS data and update all the water and sewer points and lines. They also digitized documents related to each water service and attached them to their GIS. Rocky will be covering how they used Village staff to collect GPS information to allow for better information at a lower cost.
