The Village of Algonquin teamed with Trotter and Associates to upgrade the sludge dewatering process at their Wastewater Treatment Facility. This project is currently in the design phase, which includes replacing the Villages aging belt filter press with two decanter centrifuges. To support this operation, new sludge feed pumps, conveyor, polymer feed system, and a non-potable water filtration system will be installed. The new centrifuge system provides the Village with a reliable, redundant, and self-contained dewatering process, which will improve the overall operation of the facility.
